 The Indian Army has asked its personnel to remove 89 apps including Facebook, Tick Talk, True-Caller and Instagram from their smartphones to prevent information from being leaked. According to Indian Army sources, the recently issued instructions to the army personnel have been asked to remove pub-g in dating apps and games like Tinder, Couch Surfing along with the Daily Hunt News app.

India has banned 59 apps related to Chinese, including TicketLock, UC Browser, Shareite and WeChat. The government says that these apps were prone to prejudice for the sovereignty, integrity and security of the country.

Explain that amidst tensions on the Ladakh border between India and China, Chinese hackers also bombed India online. Between 10 and 10 June, 100 million Indians were sent emails and Threat messages on the mobiles of 24 crore people. The intention of hackers was to damage the secure data in computers and mobiles through these fake messages and to breach net banking. Such attacks still continue.
